BGN Interview: Director X on directing "Superfly"

BGN contributor Jeandra LeBeauf talks with Director X about how he remixed the original film to make his version of "Superfly".

Superfly – the film that helped define a genre in its characters, look, sound, and feel – is reimagined with Director X, director of legendary music videos (Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna), introducing it to a new generation.

Columbia Pictures presents a Silver Pictures production, Superfly. Starring Trevor Jackson, Jason Mitchell, Michael Kenneth Williams, Lex Scott Davis, Jennifer Morrison. Directed by Director X. Produced by Joel Silver and Future.

Superfly has been rated R . The film will be released in theaters nationwide on June 13, 2018.
